Amsterdam – Seeing the Sights by Electric Boat
There is perhaps no better way to see the sights of Amsterdam then by cruising along the city’s beautiful canal system on your own private electric boat. On three separate occasions I have rented a boat from Sloepdelen, which rents electric boats by the hour. These easy-to-operate boats can seat up to twelve people, with a simple tiller for steering, and an electric engine that leisurely moves you at 5 mph through the water. If you have any boating experience at all, you will have no problem navigating Amsterdam’s canals with these boats. My favorite way to enjoy the canals in Amsterdam is to pick up a bottle of wine, grab an assortment of cheese and crackers, and then leisurely ride up and down the canals enjoying the wine and food while enjoying the sights. It's a great way to relax and soak in Amsterdam at your own pace. Highly recommended!
